Transforming a hobbyist venture into a new urban lifestyle brand.

We devised a brand purpose around the idea of 'feel good' that informed a full scope of strategy, visual identity, product and packaging, environments, and industrial, experience and service design.

The Vulkan Bros. exist to make people feel good about themselves, and the planet, and so we built an entire ecosystem that connects a subculture that includes fashion, music, health & well-being, art, and social engagement.

The product development strategy is sustainable from inception; products are made from earth-friendly, recyclable materials from sustainable sources, and consumers are incentivised to share, upcycle and recycle to prolong product lifecycles and reduce waste, resource and energy consumption.
Wireframe
Products are released in time-limited 'Editions' - short runs that allow customers to use the product for a fixed period of time, and keep inventory at levels that avoid over-stocking and excessive waste. When an Edition reaches expiry, unsold and returned stock is re-ingested back into the product development cycle for repurposing, or recycling.

The result is a self-regenerating, sustainable product development cycle that provides flexibility and value to consumers by continually evolving the offering.
